This is pure France! This grape variety has its greatest importance in Bordeaux, where it matures for the great Bordeaux wines. It was created from a natural crossing of the Cabernet Franc vine and the Sauvignon Blanc vine and is one of the late-ripening grape varieties. It is characterized by the fact that taste and bouquet always remain unmistakable, regardless of location and climate. The grape skins and seeds give a deep dark color and a fine acid structure. Aged in steel tanks, the Cabernet Sauvignon retains the fresh fruit and a mild tannin structure, the typical taste of black currants and an aroma of green peppers. As an accompaniment to the menu, it is ideal for roasted beef or lamb as well as game and pepper dishes with dark sauces. Slightly chilled, it is a wonderful twilight pint wine. The Pays d'Oc, from which this wine comes, extends over the four departments Pyrénées-Orientales, Aude, Hérault and Gard along the French Mediterranean coast. Legendary two hundred kilometers of beach and a sun-kissed sea of vines characterize the area in Languedoc-Roussillon as well as the steep slopes of the Pyrenees, wooded valleys, the wild Garrigue, the Langunen lakes (Etangs) and the Mediterranean Sea. In this landscape of original wealth, the vines thrive under ideal conditions, which are characterized by the Mediterranean, windy climate and the barren soil.
