Croix De Beaucaillou 2005

The 2005 Croix de Beaucaillou, as a so-called second wine, is in no way inferior to the big growth.

La Croix Ducru-Beaucaillou is an original expression of the Ducru-Beaucaillou terroir. The most modern cellar technology from Ducru-Beaucaillou is at work here. This wine is made by people with great passion, a team dedicated to excellence.

This cuvée consists mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon (approx. 60% each year), Merlot (35% to 37%) and a slightly spicy touch of Petit Verdot (3% to 5%). It receives a careful aging of 12 months in barrels with 2/3 new wood.

Powerful colour, seductively ripe dark berries on the nose, very aromatic with herbs and spices. On the palate we experience a fresh but mild acidity that carries the wine at this age, as well as tannins that present perfect maturity.
